Wyrd Con is sponsoring a prop contest and wants to invite all convention participants to join in!  Please bring your favorite creations to the Special Events table.  If you just want to look, submissions will be on display throughout the weekend.

Prizes:

All entrants will have their props displayed at the convention.

All category winners will receive mention at the closing ceremonies, as well as a certificate identifying their win at this year’s convention.

Best Prop Overall will receive a Free Badge for next year’s convention and a plaque.

Rules

• Beginning Friday evening and part of Saturday morning, convention attendees may come to the Special Events desk located next to Registration and drop off their props to enter into the contest.  Props must be brought to the convention to be eligible to enter.
• Depending on the table limits, photos may be taken instead of keeping the actual prop.  Those photos will be displayed on a monitor at the Special Events table.
• For photographed items, Special Events will take and display three photos for each submission.  The photos will include front, back, and in profile shots.
• Each submitter will be asked to fill out a form giving details about the prop.
• Each convention attendee may submit up to three (3) props and is asked to attend the closing ceremony.
• All props will be on display at the Special Events desk.
• Props will be returned at the Closing Ceremony unless prior arrangements have been made in writing with the Head of Special Events or her representative.  Any property remaining after the close of the convention becomes property of Wyrd Con unless aforementioned arrangements have been made.
• Each entry will be assigned a unique number by the Special Events staff.
• All convention attendees will be given a ballot which they can turn in to vote in the contest.
• Props submitted at previous Wyrd Cons will only be allowed with modifications and the Head of Special Events’ approval.
• Entry closes Saturday night and voting begins when submissions close.  See the schedule for details.
• Only one vote per convention attendee.  Ballots must be submitted at the Special Events’ table.
