Wyrd Con 2.0 Patch Notes

The date for Two Wyrd is June 10th – 12th 2011.

Membership in Wyrd Con is not required for admission to the convention in any way.

The Staff Class has been expanded to offer greater resistance against PvP situations with other classes.

The Designer class has now gained the ‘track pre-registrations’ ability.

The convention is looking for new sponsors. Contact us if interested!

The vendor zone has been upgraded, and is now linked to the registration zone.

The Tavern zone has been reduced in scale.

Corkage at the hotel is now paid by the convention. Rejoice… you know who you are.

Convention cost increases have improved the damage potential on the wallet. Online registration will be $50 (same as last year), Onsite is $60, and a Sponsor badge is $120.

You will actually be able to find the Wyrd Con merchandise for sale next year.

The starting time of events in the morning has been nerfed, no event will open at 8am unless a Designer specifically requests it. Consequently events will end later at night.

We aim to close the convention slightly later on Sunday, ending around 3:00pm. This is subject to the Hotel BBG permitting us to do so.

The pool will not be pursued as a reliable location to use unless it is warmer.

Not all ducks were collected at the convention; as a result they have united to free others in their quest for blood and revenge. Beware!

The convention staff will be more particular on which events to accept.

Preference for events shall include event submission quality, distance Designer must travel, history of running the event, and more.

We will not charge for event tickets, and they continue to give only priority towards an event.

The pretty badges will only be available for those who pre-register noticeably early, and have changed to something new for this coming year.

Hotel Parking costs have been nerfed to only $5 per day. (Previously 8)

All rumors of a zombie infestation at the convention are utter lies.

The convention has been expanded to encompass everything in the lower levels, and more.

The Fighters Circle got bigger.

Designers and Minions will not be charged for event registration.

Neither will Attendees or Sponsors.

We’ve taught others to do that thing you like.

Unless it’s a unique event, like a Scotch Tasting.

Did we mention Scotch tastings? Yes we will do those, more details soon.

Events will now run until 4am, woe to those who do not get a hotel room.

Due to increased costs with the hotel discounts for the convention are much rarer.

The convention program will be simplified in design, but only because we’ll focus on the content being clearer to understand.

The form for designers has been made much simpler. It’s now online.

Badge checkers will be posted at venue entrances and will be more identifiable.

The vendor room will be open to everyone.

Some have expressed concerns over the family friendly nature of Wyrd Con. Please be aware Wyrd Con’s does support those younger but its focus is an adult population.
